The Company

A brokerage services firm is currently seeking a Compliance / AML Officer to join their dynamic team.

The Role

The role supports compliance function in managing financial crime risk. Reporting to senior leadership, this role is responsible for developing and enhancing frameworks, policies, and controls across client onboarding and ongoing monitoring to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. The incumbent will oversee risk assessments across clients, products, and services, provide advisory guidance to internal stakeholders, and conduct regular reviews to ensure effective implementation of compliance measures. The role will also involve reviewing and escalating suspicious activity, liaising with regulators where required, and supporting regulatory inquiries.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related discipline, with proven experience in AML or financial crime compliance within a regulated financial services environment. A strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and MAS guidelines is essential, along with hands-on experience in client onboarding, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting. The candidate should demonstrate sound analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to assess and mitigate risk effectively. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required to provide clear advisory support across the business and to liaise with regulators when necessary.
