Execution Trader (Asia Ex Japan Markets)

Overview

We are seeking an Execution Trader to support trading across Asia Ex Japan Markets. This role partners closely with portfolio managers and brokers to deliver efficient execution, maintain risk discipline and support investment operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute equities, futures, and basket trades across global markets with a focus on efficient trade execution
• Partner closely with Portfolio Managers and brokers to optimize execution strategies and market access
• Monitor trading activity, risk exposure, and adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Analyze intraday market movements, liquidity, and trading flows to improve execution performance
• Manage stock borrowing and returns processes to support short-selling activities
• Support participation in IPOs, block trades, placements, and corporate action events

Requirements

• Degree in quantitative finance or related disciplines (Finance, Economics, etc)
• Comfortable working U.S. business hours to support clients and stakeholders across different time zones.
• Familiarity with short selling workflows, including stock borrow / locate process, borrow management, and settlement considerations
• 1-2 years of experience in sell side dealing with equities trading
• Strong Experience dealing in Asia Ex Japan Markets
• Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting
• Experience with VBA, Python, and or SQL will be an added advantage
• Dealing with Hongkong and China Markets will be an added advantage.
