Job Description:

SINDA seeks a detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team and play a key role in strengthening financial governance, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting digital and AI-driven transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in finance processes and documentation and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

A.   Financial Accounting Duties (Operational Excellence)

Support the finance function in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient financial operations by:

  • Processing payments and administering donations through NetSuite in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supporting budgeting exercises, forecasting activities, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinating and providing timely documentation for internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), regulatory requirements, and internal control policies.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and governance.

B.   Key Projects (Transformation & Innovation)

Drive finance transformation initiatives through effective planning, stakeholder collaboration, proactive risk management, and transparent progress tracking.

1. Finance Guidelines Review

  • Support Assistant Managers in reviewing, updating, and documenting Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across accounting, budgeting, reporting, and compliance functions.
  • Develop and maintain process maps, workflows, and flowcharts to improve process clarity and consistency.
  • Ensure SOPs align with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and organizational policies.
  • Benchmark existing finance processes against industry best practices and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in developing communication and change-management plans to support the implementation and adoption of new or revised SOPs.

2. AI & Digital Finance Enablement

  • Support the implementation and adoption of AI, automation, and digital tools (e.g., Power Automate, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and other emerging technologies) to streamline finance operations.
  • Identify and assist in automating manual processes such as reconciliations, data validations, reporting workflows, and financial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and management reports using Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools to enhance decision-making.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage data analytics and AI-driven insights to improve financial reporting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives that increase productivity, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort.
  • Prepare financial reports, management presentations, and performance dashboards for stakeholders and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or an equivalent professional accountancy qualification.
  • 1to 3 years of relevant experience (candidates with strong internship or project exposure are welcome).
  • Experience in SOP documentation and process mapping (e.g. Visio or similar tools) preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications; exposure to dashboards or automation tools is a plus
  • Experience in NetSuite and TenderBoard would be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
  • Effective analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
