Job Summary

You will lead financial operations by translating financial data into strategic insights, ensuring compliance, optimizing cash flow, and mentoring your team to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process, cash flow forecasting, and long-term financial modeling to drive business growth strategies
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, biyearly and annual management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
• Support and check administrative work
• Prepare clear, concise board-level presentations and reports with actionable financial narratives
• Manage cash positioning, optimize working capital, and forecast liquidity to maintain financial stability
• Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and manage foreign exchange risk where applicable
• Ensure compliance with statutory financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems to protect company assets and mitigate risks
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and tax authorities, managing the full annual audit process

Required competencies and certifications

• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CIMA, or finalist status in these qualifications
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Proficiency in financial modeling, Microsoft Office, advanced Excel functions, and ERP systems such as QuickBooks
• Strong communication skills to translate complex financial data into clear business insights for non-finance stakeholders
