Finance & Fund Operations Analyst

M Capital Management (MCM) is a Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) licensed Venture Capital Fund Manager with a VCC (Variable Capital Corp) umbrella structure managing distinct funds under the brand of M Venture Partners (www.m-venturepartners.com).

The firm is currently hiring a Finance & Fund Operations Analyst to join its Singapore-based team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with 2–3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations or financial reporting who is looking to deepen their experience within the venture capital industry. Working closely with senior members of the team and external service providers, you will support the day-to-day financial and operational activities of the firm's funds and management entities. 

Responsibilities

• Review fund NAV calculations and year-end financial statements prepared by external fund administrators.

• Prepare periodic and ad hoc fund performance metrics, including IRR, MOIC, share price and other investment analyses.

• Support the finance functions of the Fund Manager and related entities, including bank account administration and reconciliations.

• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements and tax filing information with external accounting service providers.

• Support investor operations, including investor onboarding, capital calls, distributions and shareholder reporting.

• Liaise with fund administrators, auditors, accountants, regulators and other service providers to ensure timely completion of reporting and operational requirements.

• Assist with MAS regulatory reporting and compliance administration, including AML and regulatory surveys.

• Support the investment team with transaction execution and portfolio monitoring from an operational perspective as required.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations, financial reporting or audit within the alternative investment or financial services industry.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Progress towards CA/CPA qualification is advantageous but not essential.

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and attention to detail.

• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Interest in venture capital and the start-up ecosystem.

• Must use discretion working with confidential and sensitive information regarding the company, executive management, and investors
