Finance Assistant Manager

China Re Group is the largest reinsurance group in Asia and the 8th globally by gross premium income. The Group is rated “A (excellent)” continuously by A.M. Best since 2010, rated “A+” or “A” continuously by Standard & Poor’s since 2014.

In 2016, we set up China Re Singapore Branch with the approval of a license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Our office is located within Raffles Place, at CapitaGreen on Market Street. Currently, we are writing both life and general business in the Asia Pacific region.

We are now seeking to fill the following position in our Singapore team.

Finance Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements under local standards and China Accounting Standards;
• Prepare regulatory reports under local standards;
• Prepare annual budgets and expense budgets, and monitor budget execution;
• Prepare profit forecasts and solvency projections;
• Develop capital planning / Prepare capital plans;
• Conduct quarterly financial analysis;
• Assist with income tax filing and tax-related matters;
• Other related duties as assigned by the Singapore Branch and headquarters.

Our requirement:

• Bachelor degree in Accountancy
• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in MS Office
• Effectively bilingual in both written and verbal communications including communicating with Chinese speaking colleagues in the head office.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous with attention to details, self-motivated, and able to work well in a team
