The Role

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

This is a commercially focused role that sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations. You will work closely with business leaders across marketing, sales, operations, and product teams to provide financial insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

You will help transform data into decision-making, build scalable reporting frameworks, and provide financial visibility into the key drivers of the business.

What You'll Do

Business Partnering & Decision Support

• Partner closely with department heads to understand business performance, key initiatives, and resource requirements.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support commercial and operational decision-making.

• Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, and return on investment.

• Support pricing, promotional, and investment decisions through financial analysis.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts across the business.

• Work with stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into financial plans.

• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.

• Support long-range planning and scenario modelling.

Financial Analysis & Cost Control

• Analyse revenue, margins, learner acquisition costs, cohort profitability, and business performance trends.

• Prepare monthly business reviews and management presentations.

• Partner with department heads to monitor spending and ensure costs remain aligned with budgets and business objectives. 

• Support procurement and vendor evaluation processes through financial analysis and benchmarking.

Revenue & Growth Analytics

• Analyse learner acquisition funnels, conversion rates, and marketing ROI.

• Evaluate profitability across programmes, products, channels, and customer segments.

• Develop cohort-level profitability and contribution analyses.

• Support new programme launches and strategic growth initiatives through financial modelling.

• Conduct market and competitor analysis to support growth initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

• 4–8 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, transaction services, consulting, corporate strategy, or business partnering roles.

• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets capabilities.

• Experience building dashboards and reporting using tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect financial results to business drivers.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in education, SaaS, technology, professional services, or high-growth businesses is a plus.

• Candidates from Big Four Deals Advisory, Transaction Services, Valuations, Corporate Finance, or Management Consulting backgrounds who are looking to move into an operational finance role are encouraged to apply.
