Finance Business Partner (AI/TECH)

Role Overview

We are looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to support business leaders with financial insights, strategic planning, and performance management. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders by providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and decision support to drive business growth and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

• Partner with business leaders to provide strategic financial guidance and support business decision-making.
• Develop strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business priorities, challenges, and growth opportunities.
• Act as the primary finance contact for assigned business units.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Develop financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investments, pricing strategies, and commercial opportunities.
• Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.

Commercial & Strategic Finance

• Conduct profitability, revenue, cost, and margin analysis to identify opportunities for business improvement.
• Support business cases, investment proposals, and ROI analysis for strategic projects.
• Partner with operational teams to drive cost optimization and improve financial performance.
• Support new business initiatives, product launches, and expansion plans through financial evaluation.

Performance Management

• Develop and monitor key financial and operational KPIs.
• Analyse business trends, risks, and opportunities, providing recommendations to improve performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and reporting.

Financial Governance

• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audit requirements where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Corporate Finance.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or CFA are advantageous.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis skills.
• Experience working closely with commercial, operations, sales, product, or business teams.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, management reporting, and performance analysis.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Technology, SaaS, AI, FinTech, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Data Centre, or Financial Services industries.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or Workday.
• Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience supporting regional or multinational businesses.
