Finance Director (Real Estate Investment)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Director (Real Estate Investment) to lead the finance function of a real estate investment platform. The successful candidate will oversee financial management, reporting, capital planning, and strategic finance initiatives across a portfolio of real estate assets in Singapore and the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business growth and decision-making
• Oversee treasury operations, manage cash flow, and plan liquidity across multiple entities to ensure financial stability
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support acquisitions, divestments, asset enhancements, and restructuring initiatives
• Manage relationships with financial institutions to facilitate financing, refinancing, and capital management activities
• Prepare and present management reports, financial analyses, and performance updates to senior management for informed decision-making
• Oversee investor reporting, monitor fund performance, and conduct portfolio financial analysis to optimize investment outcomes
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), statutory requirements, and internal policies to maintain governance
• Develop and enhance internal controls, financial governance, and risk management frameworks to safeguard assets and operations
• Coordinate external audits, tax matters, and engagements with professional advisors to ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members to build capabilities aligned with business objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and relevant regulatory requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, investment, asset management, real estate investment, property development, or related industries
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and financial analysis
• Familiarity with investment evaluation, capital structuring, or corporate finance activities
• Professional qualifications such as CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent (advantageous but not essential)
• Proficiency in financial systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with AI-enabled financial analysis or reporting tools (advantageous)
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
