Job Summary

Manage daily financial operations and reporting for two companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and actionable insights to support effective management decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate management reports including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to inform business decisions
• Analyze financial variances by comparing actual results against budgets and explain discrepancies to management
• Support management with detailed cost analysis and profitability breakdowns to optimize financial performance
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts to guide financial planning
• Track actual expenditures against budgets and flag any overspending for timely corrective action
• Ensure compliance with Singapore tax laws, GST, and corporate tax filing requirements to maintain regulatory adherence
• Liaise effectively with auditors during audits to facilitate smooth review processes
• Maintain and monitor internal controls to prevent errors and fraud, safeguarding company assets
• Monitor cash position and working capital to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations
• Process payments and payroll accurately and follow up on collections to maintain healthy cash flow
• Coordinate banking transactions to support treasury functions and financial operations
• Perform monthly book closures, prepare financial reports, and file GST returns punctually

Required competencies and certifications

• Understanding of Singapore accounting standards and IRAS requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for financial data analysis and reporting
• Experience using accounting software such as Navision and SAP
