Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Executive (Accounting) to manage daily accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and budgeting support. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and supporting overall finance functions for the company.
Job Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Finance Operations
Manage daily accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
Handle petty cash transactions and review office expense claims
Review and validate journal entries, including fixed asset additions and depreciation
Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting and financial records
Oversee accounts payable, including invoice verification, vendor reconciliation, and timely payments
Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and follow-up on outstanding balances
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Liaise with banks and financial institutions on banking matters such as transfers, account maintenance, and financing facilities
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Maintain an accurate general ledger
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with SFRS/IFRS
Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
Support financial analysis for management decision-making
Monitor cash flow and support treasury-related matters
3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare and file statutory returns (e.g. corporate tax, GST) in compliance with regulations
Ensure adherence to Singapore and Malaysia financial regulations and reporting standards
Liaise with external auditors to support audit processes and resolve queries
Keep updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations
Coordinate with banks, auditors, and government agencies to facilitate financial transactions and reporting requirements
Support internal and external audits, including group and vessel accounting
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA or equivalent is an advantage)
Minimum 2–3 years of accounting and finance experience
Strong knowledge of SFRS and IFRS
Proficient in accounting systems (Sage experience is a plus)
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders
