Job Description - Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a commercially-minded Finance Manager to modernise and elevate our finance function. The ideal candidate combines solid technical accounting knowledge with a strong drive for process improvement, automation, and the adoption of AI-driven tools — transforming traditional manual workflows into scalable, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & FRS Compliance

•          Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).

•          Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting, including compliance with local regulatory requirements.

•          Maintain and update accounting policies to reflect changes in applicable FRS standards.

•          Liaise with external auditors and manage the year-end audit process.

Process Flow Improvement

•          Conduct end-to-end reviews of existing accounting and finance workflows, identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and control gaps.

•          Design and implement improved process flows for accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial reporting.

•          Document standard operating procedures and ensure consistent adherence across the team.

•          Drive continuous improvement initiatives and measure outcomes.

Accounting Automation

•          Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of automation tools to replace manual, repetitive accounting tasks (e.g., bank reconciliation, invoice processing, journal entries).

•          Collaborate with IT and system vendors to deploy and configure ERP modules or RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions.

•          Oversee data integrity and integration between accounting systems and upstream/downstream platforms.

•          Train and upskill team members on new automated workflows.

AI &Technology Adoption

•          Research and pilot AI-powered finance tools (e.g., AI-assisted variance analysis, predictive cash flow forecasting, intelligent document processing).

•          Partner with business units to embed AI-driven insights into financial planning and decision-making.

•          Evaluate and recommend finance technology investments aligned with the company’s digital transformation roadmap.

•          Stay current on emerging fintech trends and assess their applicability to the organisation.

Financial Planning & Control

•          Support budgeting and management reporting cycles.

•          Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary to senior management.

•          Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and governance requirements.

•          Prepare and present detailed financial analysis reports to business unit heads, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit assessments, margin reviews, and trend analysis to support informed business decisions.

•          Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights tailored to each business unit’s operational context.

•          Work closely with business unit managers to understand their financial performance drivers and provide forward-looking analysis to support planning and strategy.

•          Act as a key business partner to operations, sales, and senior leadership.

•          Present financial results and project updates clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Requirements:

•          Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).

•          5–8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

•          Strong working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (Singapore FRS/ IFRS).

•          Demonstrated experience in process improvement, system implementation, or finance transformation projects.

•          Hands-on exposure to accounting automation tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), or RPA platforms.

•          Familiarity with AI tools applied to finance (e.g., Power BI, Copilot, or similar) is a strong advantage.

•          Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets.

•          Strong communication skills — able to translate financial information for non-finance audiences.

This role will be located in Singaporeworking on-site at our office located at Expo (DT35/CG1) fully sheltered from the MRT.
