Finance Manager

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions across our growing group of companies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about building efficient finance processes, strengthening internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible not only for ensuring accurate financial reporting but also for leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis to support informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions across several Singapore entities and one Malaysia entity.
• Oversee the finance operations of the Malaysia entity, ensuring compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and reporting deadlines.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, verify payments, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure effective cash collection.
• Prepare accurate monthly management reports, including consolidated Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Lead the annual budgeting, financial forecasting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and cash flow planning processes. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business growth, improve profitability, and enable informed management decision-making.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify key variances, and proactively recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee treasury and cash flow management to ensure adequate working capital and healthy cash positions.
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Review, develop, and implement finance policies, internal controls, and process improvements to strengthen governance and improve operational efficiency.
• Plan, organise, and administer accounting systems, including payment processing, invoicing, billing, and financial workflows.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner closely with management by providing timely financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support business planning and expansion.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function by implementing scalable processes suitable for a rapidly growing business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including previous experience as a Finance Manager or in an equivalent leadership role.

• Experience in the e-commerce industry is a MUST.

• Proven hands-on experience preparing and managing:

  • Annual budgets

  • Rolling forecasts

  • Cash flow forecasts

  • Monthly variance analysis

  • Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)

• Experience managing multi-entity/group accounts. Exposure to Singapore and Malaysia accounting and statutory requirements is highly preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.

• Proficient in Xero Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Startup mindset with the ability to build, improve, and streamline finance processes while adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• A proactive, hands-on individual who is comfortable taking ownership and driving initiatives independently.
