Role Purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically driven Financial Analyst to join our finance function. The ideal candidate is someone who doesn't just crunch numbers — they question processes, simplify complexity, and proactively look for smarter ways to work. You will play a key role in translating datasets into clear financial narratives that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
A. Financial Analysis & Reporting
Analyse financial data to identify business opportunities and areas of risk.
Forecast financial trends using performance metrics and historical data.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management in a clear, concise manner.
Model business outcomes and project financial risk across scenarios.
Maintain understanding of key financial metrics — P&L, revenue, cost structures, and performance tracking.
B. Data Quality & Process Improvement
Handle datasets; identify inconsistencies and work with relevant teams to resolve data quality issues.
Simplify and streamline financial processes, translating complex references into clear, actionable frameworks.
Support automation of manual reporting workflows to improve efficiency.
Translate business questions into data queries and meaningful insights.
C. External Accountant Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for 3 external accountants.
Review and validate work submitted by the external accounting team.
Coordinate data sharing and ensure timely input for major financial decisions.
Support senior management in evaluating business records and investment plans.
D. Day-to-Day Finance Operations
Handle routine finance tasks including invoice tracking, expense records, and basic bookkeeping coordination.
Maintain organised financial documentation and ensure records are audit-ready.
Assist in any ad-hoc finance or admin tasks as required by the business.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or a similar finance role.
CFA (in progress or completed) is an advantage but not mandatory.
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work through complex financial data independently.
Solid grasp of financial fundamentals — P&L, budgeting, cost management, and reporting.
Comfortable with data; proficient in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a bonus.
Able to communicate financial information simply and clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Process-improvement mindset — proactively looks for ways to reduce complexity and improve workflows.
Self-directed and resourceful, with the ability to work without close supervision.
Dependable and detail-oriented — takes ownership of accuracy and follow-through.
Collaborative team player who works well with external partners and internal stakeholders.
Remuneration & Others:
Leave: Statutory, Birthday, Exam Leaves
Benefit: Dental, Medical & Professional Membership Claim (scope relevant)
Note: This role is well-suited for a motivated finance professional who is eager to build a solid and well-rounded foundation, thrive in an autonomous environment, and grow alongside the organisation. The successful candidate will be expected to manage both strategic financial responsibilities and operational day-to-day tasks with equal commitment and professionalism.
