Financial Analyst (Production Costs)

Our client is a leading manufacturing company in precision engineering industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting an Cost Analyst to be part of their FP&A Team. They are located in the West - easily accessible.

Duties of Cost Analyst:

• Conduct manufacturing cost analysis covering raw materials, labor, overheads, scrap, yield losses, and subcontracting costs to identify cost-saving and margin improvement opportunities.
• Perform product, customer, and SKU profitability analysis, highlighting key cost drivers, margin risks, and business opportunities.
• Partner with production, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and sales teams to support operational decision-making, pricing strategies, and customer profitability assessments.
• Monitor and report manufacturing and inventory KPIs, cost variances, and operational performance, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Review and maintain standard costing accuracy through cost validation, system reconciliation, and continuous enhancement of costing methodologies and financial controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, gross profit projections, and financial modelling for manufacturing investments, Capex proposals, and strategic business initiatives.
• Provide financial analysis and cost insights for special projects, including make-versus-buy evaluations, footprint optimization, product portfolio decisions, and audit support.

Requirements:

• Degree in accounting field
• Min 3 years of costing analysis experience in manufacturing industry
• Able to work in fast-paced environment
