As the core owner of the company's finance function, the Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management, profitability assessment, reporting, treasury, tax, and finance-related compliance of our AI Cloud Computing Infrastructure (AIDC) and AI Token Factory businesses. Internally, the role builds and maintains a robust accounting, budgeting, and internal control framework. Externally, it leads tax and audit matters and supports project appraisal and project-financing analysis. The role reports directly to the CFO.
• Build fixed-asset and depreciation models for GPU compute assets and data center / colocation investments; calculate ROI and payback periods; and own project cost-benefit analysis and cost allocation.
• Establish an automated reconciliation and billing framework for the Token business, monitor upstream/downstream gross-margin spreads, and help implement financial risk-control and early-warning mechanisms.
• Produce regular management and unit-economics reporting, prepare the annual budget and rolling cash-flow forecasts, and provide analytical support for pricing and capacity-expansion decisions.
• Design and optimize a Singapore-anchored, compliant cross-border cash-flow and offshore structure (e.g. Japan, Hong Kong, US), taking into account overseas collection channels such as Stripe, PayPal, and cryptocurrency.
• Manage Singapore and overseas tax and statutory filings (GST, corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, etc.), liaise with external tax advisors and IRAS, and lead overall tax planning.
• Work with business teams to support the CFO in developing financing channels including finance leasing, compute-asset-backed lending, and structured financing; prepare financial models and data-room materials for financial institutions; and support financing due diligence.
• Assist the CFO in advancing corporate fundraising, including financial compliance clean-up, capital-structure adjustments, international structuring and reorganization, and building out the onshore/offshore group structure.
• Coordinate external advisors: lead engagement with IPO auditors, tax advisors, internal-control consultants, and other intermediaries.
• Own day-to-day accounting for Singapore and oversea entities, and lead the timely close and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage bank accounts, customer collections, supplier payments, and payroll; prepare rolling cash-flow forecasts; and optimize capital efficiency.
• Handle routine tax and statutory filings (GST, corporate income tax, CPF, IR8A / IR21, etc.) and liaise with the relevant authorities.
• Review and approve expense claims, procurement contracts, and payments; ensure invoicing and processes are compliant; and control day-to-day operating expenditure.
• Establish and maintain a sound internal control system.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5–6 years of accounting or audit experience with cross-border or multi-entity (overseas) operations.
• Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) as well as US GAAP, IFRS, GST, and tax filing; proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Holds a CPA / ACCA or CA qualification.
• Experience with cross-border collections/payments (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) and offshore-entity accounting (Japan / Hong Kong / USA) preferred.
• Working proficiency in English and Chinese.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and accountable, with the ability to work independently in a fast-growing start-up environment.
