Financial Reporting Analyst

Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Finance Systems Analyst / Financial Reporting Analyst to support financial reporting, forecasting, dashboarding, and reporting automation initiatives across the business. This role sits between Finance and IT, focusing on extracting, validating, and analysing financial data from ERP systems and databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and forecasting models
• Perform P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and budget vs actual analysis
• Build and automate reporting solutions using Excel, SQL, Power BI, and ERP systems
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements and improve reporting processes
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data and reporting outputs

Key Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and finance reporting logic
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, Power Query, and advanced Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle, or similar
• Experience building dashboards, reporting automation, and financial reporting solutions
• Strong exposure to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on reporting and analytical role

Preferred

• Exposure to shipping, commodities, trading, or operational finance environments
• Experience with APIs, ETL, or data integration
