We are seeking an ambitious and self-driven Foreign Exchange Trader to establish and manage their own trading desk. This role is ideal for algorithmic traders, but experienced traders without coding skills will also be considered. You must have your own trading strategies

Key Responsibilities

• Launch and operate an independent trading desk backed by Quantmatter.
• Research, develop, and implement alpha-generating strategies across global financial markets.
• Conduct rigorous quantitative analysis to identify high-probability trading opportunities.
• Back test and optimize strategies using robust statistical and computational techniques.
• Monitor market conditions and macroeconomic factors to refine positioning.
• Apply comprehensive risk management to preserve capital and minimize drawdowns.
• Work closely with internal teams to improve execution infrastructure and scale strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field (others considered based on experience).
• Minimum 2 years of live trading experience in Equities, Futures, FX, Commodities, or Options.
• Preferably 3+ years of exposure to global financial markets (e.g., U.S., KRX, JPX, ASX, SGX, SSE).
• Minimum 2 years of market making experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or MATLAB.
• Strong skills in quantitative modeling, statistical analysis, and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to build, test, and deploy trading algorithms.
• Adaptability to changing market conditions and environments.
• Proven track record of profitability and disciplined risk management.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for markets.
• Must have his/her own strategy

• Experience with high-frequency trading (HFT) strategies
• Expertise in risk management and execution systems
• Track record in building and scaling trading strategies
