General Ledger Accountant (Manufacturing)

Financial Accounting

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
• Prepare and submit Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns.
• Assist with annual statutory audits and corporate income tax filings.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide reports to support management decision-making.

Sales Accounting

• Reconcile Accounts Receivable (AR) with the General Ledger (GL).
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
• Verify sales orders, delivery documents, and customer invoices.
• Monitor customer collections and assist in bad debt provisioning.
• Prepare sales margin analysis and revenue reports.

Manufacturing Accounting

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including General Ledger management.
• Reconcile inventory records and stock balances.
• Prepare cost allocation and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Allocate manufacturing overhead costs.
• Account for Work-in-Progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of General Ledger, inventory, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.

Good understanding of GST regulations and statutory reporting requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and business partners.
