Head of Operations, APAC

Oversee the Asia Operations team to ensure effective execution of:

• Daily coordination with counter-parties, internal stakeholders, liquidity providers, exchanges, prime brokers, or vendors to troubleshoot and resolve open issues across both FX Prime Brokerage and Digital Asset Prime Brokerage businesses.
• Trade and position break reconciliation and resolution, facilitating counter-party collateral or asset movements. Performance of daily internal controls related to Ops, Risk, or Compliance considerations
• Monitoring of counter-party limit utilization, margin thresholds, or portfolio concentration risk throughout the day for both the Digital Prime Brokerage, FX Prime Brokerage and OTC clearing businesses. Timely investigation and action, or escalation of breaches to the Risk team is an integral to the Operations function.
• Onboarding responsibilities including counter-party static onboarding tasks required to establish trading connectivity, reporting, integration implementation, and facilitating test trades ahead of production go-live
• Ad Hoc project work related to internal controls, MIS reporting, automation initiatives, client-specific reporting requirements, or integration implementation.

Wider management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performance reviews & coaching of Operations team members
• Proactive ownership of key Operational OKRs, SLAs and risk metrics
• Integration into the wider leadership of the Asia business and global Operations teams to ensure a connected and cohesive support of the business and our clients.
• Continual improvement of operational workflows and controls to increase scale, reduce risk and most importantly enhance client experience

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong People and project management
• Balance of Operations and Technology role experience throughout career.
• 15 years of experience with at least 10 years of Operational experience
• Current and active experience in identifying, designing and building workflow automation and data analytics solutions using Python and SQL.
• Very strong Experience in post trade operational workflows for trad fi products particularly for listed OTC & Options, FX and commodities as well as all types of asset servicing events.
• Experience in leading critical industry and regulatory changes eg T+1 settlement / CSDR / Brexit
• Experience in driving cost reduction analysis and execution
• Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen, delivery of business outcomes with a focus on enhanced control oversight, cost and risk reduction, and operational efficiency. Strong cross functional collaborator to align with shared goals and vision.
