Job Description - Institutional Associate Director – Asia and MEAA

Role Overview

The Institutional Associate Director is a key client-facing role within Jupiter's Global Institutional business. Based in Singapore, the role is primarily focused on supporting the growth and development of Jupiter's institutional business across Asia, while also contributing to client coverage and business development across the Middle East, Africa and Australia (MEAA).

Working closely with the Global Head of Institutional and the Head of MEAA, the role combines institutional client coverage, business development and regional coordination. While overall strategy ownership sits with the Head of Global Institutional and the Head of MEAA, the position will play an important role in maintaining momentum across existing opportunities, deepening institutional client relationships, supporting pipeline conversion and executing Jupiter's distribution strategy across Asia and MEAA.

In addition to core Asia and MEAA coverage, the role has responsibility for overseeing the development of business in Israel through a third-party distributor.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Business Development & Client Coverage

·       Support the execution of Jupiter's institutional distribution strategy across Asia and MEAA

·       Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients and prospects across the region, supporting both existing relationships and new business opportunities

·       Support senior relationship management through regular client engagement, meeting follow-up and opportunity progression

·       Identify and develop new institutional business opportunities across Asia and MEAA

·       Support the progression and conversion of the regional institutional pipeline through consistent client engagement and follow-up

·       Provide timely client coverage and responsiveness during Asian business hours

·       Support the positioning of Jupiter's investment capabilities with institutional investors

Partner& Third-Party Management

·       Develop and support relationships with Jupiter's distribution partners across Asia,South Africa and Australia

·       Oversee institutional business development in Israel alongside Jupiter's appointed third-party distributor

·       Support business development activity in Asia, South Africa and Australia in partnership with the Head of Global Institutional, the Head of MEAA and local distribution partners

Internal Collaboration & Coordination

·       Work closely with the Global Head of Institutional and the Head of MEAA to deliver regional business priorities

·       Coordinate with investment teams, marketing, client reporting, compliance and operations to support client servicing, due diligence and onboarding

·       Collaborate with Global Consultants, Capital Introduction partners and internal stakeholders to ensure coordinated regional coverage

Execution,Reporting & Asset Raising

·       Support client meetings, roadshows and due diligence processes, including preparation,follow-up and opportunity management

·       Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and CRM records

·       Use market intelligence and client insights to prioritise business development activity and support asset raising across the region

·       Monitor the progression of institutional opportunities and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders

Desired Skills / Experience

Experience

  • Typically, 5–7 years' experience within institutional distribution, business development or relationship management within a global asset manager
  • Experience supporting institutional client relationships and business development across Asia and MEAA, would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of institutional investment solutions across equities, fixed income and liquid alternatives, with the ability to represent Jupiter's investment capabilities to clients
  • Understanding of the institutional distribution landscape across Asia and the Middle East, with experience supporting cross-border client coverage and regional business development
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating with investment teams and internal stakeholders to deliver client solutions, due diligence and ongoing relationship management

·       Strong relationship management and communication skills with a client-focused approach

·       Commercially minded with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities

·       Comfortable working across international markets and multiple time zones

·       Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against regional objectives

·       Proficient in the use of CRM systems, market intelligence and data to support client engagement and pipeline management

·       Collaborative team player, able to work effectively across investment, product, marketing,compliance and operations teams

Additional Information

  • This role is subject to FCA Conduct Rules
  • Travel across Asia and MEAA regions will be required as part of the role
