Investment Analyst

Role scope & responsibilities

·      Generalist equity analyst role covering multiple sectors and markets across Asia

·      Supporting fund managers and senior leadership (CEO/CIO) across the investment process

·      Participation in trade execution for portfolios

·      Assisting with ESG initiatives

·      Contributing to investment communications (newsletters, blogs, written commentary)

Experience & background

·      2–5 years of relevant equity research experience

·      Prior exposure to Asian equity markets strongly preferred

·      Trading experience considered a bonus

·      Asian language capability is a plus

Technical & analytical skills

·      Strong ability to analyse and interpret company financial statements and annual reports

·      Ability to conduct thorough due diligence on companies, industries, and markets

·      Proven experience building detailed financial models and earnings scenarios

·      Solid understanding of finance, portfolio theory, and basic data science tools

·      Experience supporting investment screens and maintaining analytical models

·      Demonstrated interest in investing, comfortable with a value‑oriented approach

- Focus on downside protection

- Comfort with out‑of‑favour stocks or sectors

- Ability to think probabilistically and across scenarios

·      Capability to generate and articulate original investment ideas

·      Strong written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate investment theses

·      Comfortable producing concise investment write‑ups or memos

·      Ability to work closely in a small, collaborative team environment

·      Open to direct, constructive feedback
