Investment Banking Analyst/Associate

Kookmin Banks IB business playing a role of regional hub of Kookmin Bank’s investment banking activities in region of ASEAN, Australia, and India, focusing on Structured Financing including Acquisition, Real Estate, Energy, and Infrastructure, as well as corporate financing.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support credit review and approval processes, including preparation and evaluation of credit proposals.
• Perform financial modelling and analysis to assess borrower performance and risk profiles.
• Prepare and review financial and credit documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal guidelines.
• Assist in first drawdown and disbursement processes, ensuring all conditions precedent are met.
• Carry out post-approval portfolio management tasks, including monitoring of accounts and covenant compliance.
• Support headquarters reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required information.
• Handle system operations, including data input and maintenance in internal banking systems.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects assigned by the Investment Banking (IB) Unit as required.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in banking or a related financial services industry.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong ability to analyze financial statements.
• Familiarity with term sheets and financing documentation.
• Basic understanding of banking products and associated risk concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly for financial modelling.

Business & Industry Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of various industries and the broader economic environment.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to proactively identify, plan, and schedule tasks.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Language Skills

• Strong written and verbal English proficiency is required.
• Korean language proficiency (written and spoken) is an advantage.
