Our client is an established Asian private bank with a strong presence across Greater China and Southeast Asia. As part of its continued growth and commitment to enhancing its investment advisory capabilities, the bank is seeking an experienced Investment Counsellor to join its Singapore Private Banking platform.

This role will work closely with Relationship Managers and High-Net-Worth / Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients, providing investment advice, portfolio construction guidance and market insights across a broad range of investment products and asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide investment advisory support to Private Banking Relationship Managers and clients
• Conduct portfolio reviews, asset allocation discussions and investment suitability assessments
• Develop and present investment ideas across equities, fixed income, funds, structured products and alternative investments
• Participate in client meetings and investment presentations
• Monitor market developments and provide timely investment recommendations
• Support the implementation of investment strategies and portfolio positioning
• Work closely with Product, Investment and Relationship Management teams to deliver holistic client solutions

Requirements

• Min 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as an Investment Counsellor, Investment Advisor, Portfolio Advisor, Product Specialist or similar investment advisory role within Private Banking or Wealth Management
• Strong knowledge across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, funds and structured products
• Proven ability to engage High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients on investment matters
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation principles
• CACS certification is required
• Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin would be advantageous as the role involves regular interaction with Mandarin-speaking clients and overseas stakeholders, including the review and discussion of business, financial and credit-related documentation where such communication is conducted in Mandarin.
