IT Project Manager(Murex)

Our client is a financial institution and they have a job opening for the IT Project Manager position

This is a 1 year contract position

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and ensuring the stability of medium to highly complex, cross-functional IT projects. The role serves as a central communication hub to manage project scope, risks, and resources while driving daily team efforts toward key milestones.

This role is for the Treasury department, candidates with Murex experience will be preferred

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Tracking: Assemble project plans, assign teamwork, monitor daily progress, and adjust schedules to meet stakeholder needs.

• Cross-Functional Management: Lead and deliver one or more complex projects involving multiple intersecting business units.

• Communication & Risk Coordination: Facilitate clear communication across the enterprise regarding project scope, potential risks, and resource management.

• Team Facilitation: Proactively remove barriers and roadblocks to enable project teams to successfully meet their objectives.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration.

• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.

• Domain Expertise: Strong, applied knowledge and understanding of digital banking functionality and processes.

• Experience:

1. Minimum 5 years of total IT work experience.

2. At least 3 years of experience managing large, cross-functional projects.
