(JC) - Financial Accountant (Controller) - $6500

General Overview: -

• Basic Salary: Up to $6500 + AWS + VB
• Tuas West
• Work hours: Mon - Fri 8:00am - 5.00pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares precise operating and financial reports for leadership and corporate reporting, incorporating various perspectives and comparisons such as actuals, budgets, forecasts, and other relevant information.
• Handles accounts closing, reconciliation, and reporting processes, ensuring adherence to all closing timelines and utilizing appropriate reporting systems.
• Oversees general accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, banking, tax management, credit, and collections. Also responsible for internal and external auditing, as well as budgetary controls.
• Ensures compliance with all tax regulations, overseeing timely and accurate filings including GST, WHT, and corporate tax filings through collaboration with service providers.
• Manages the internal and external audit processes, developing and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and internal controls.
• Supervises treasury controls, compliance, cash flow management, and foreign exchange hedging activities.
• Collaborates with teams across local, divisional, and global levels to ensure compliance, reporting accuracy, and achievement of targets set by senior management.

Requirements:

• Minimum requirement Bachelor’s degree in accounting includes holding a CA/CPA qualification (equivalent to ACCA).
• At least four years of relevant experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Preference for candidates with external audit experience or a robust understanding of internal controls.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems would be considered advantageous.
