Loan Manager (Bilateral & Syndicated Loans) – Korean Speaking

Responsibilities

•  Manage the end-to-end processing and administration of bilateral and syndicated loan transactions, including drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, prepayments, interest and fee processing.
•  Review loan agreements, facility documents and conditions precedent to ensure compliance with approved credit terms prior to loan disbursement.
•  Monitor loan maturity dates, repayment schedules, covenant compliance and outstanding documentation.
•  Process loan amendments, renewals, restructuring and other post-disbursement activities.
•  Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of loan records in the Bank's core banking system.
•  Liaise with Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Finance, Legal, Operations and external counterparties to facilitate loan transactions.
•  Prepare reports and respond to internal, external and regulatory enquiries where required.
•  Ensure all loan processing activities comply with the Bank's internal policies, operational procedures and MAS regulatory requirements.
•  Support internal and external audits and participate in process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

•  Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline.
•  Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in bilateral and/or syndicated loan operations within a bank or financial institution.
•  Good knowledge of corporate loan products and the end-to-end loan lifecycle.
•  Experience in reviewing loan documentation and processing loan transactions.
•  Familiarity with SWIFT payment processing and core banking loan systems will be an advantage.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•  Proficiency in Korean (spoken and written) is required to communicate with Korean-speaking clients, counterparties and Head Office.
