The Role: M&A Analyst: Singapore

We are looking for ambitious M&A (mergers and acquisitions) Analysts to join our APAC team, based in our Singapore office. You will work directly with the underwriting team, who evaluate M&A opportunities and businesses across industries and jurisdictions, and are recognised leaders in the transactional risk insurance space. The position will provide in-depth exposure to international M&A and the insurance industryin an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities will include:

·       Analysing M&A transactions, including reviewingf inancial statements, business background information, due diligence material and purchase agreements

·       Managing a consistent stream of deal opportunitiesthat consider the use of transactional risk insurance

·       Preparing quotes and policies

·       Developing marketing materials and presentations

·       Coordinating and communicating with insurance brokers,lawyers and clients

·       Providing project management support includingdatabase administration and invoice management

·       Attending industry events and training where necessary

Experience and Skills

·       Recent graduate with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in law, business, finance or economics

·       0-2 years’ relevant work experience

·       Fluency in English (spoken and written) isa must

·       Note that this role requires you to analyse and draft technical documents (including legal and financial documents and due diligence reports) that are in Chinese language and requires you to converse and correspond with clients in mainland China. Proficiency in the Chines language, at the native or full business level, is required, in addition to proficiencyi n the English language. You will also be required to analyse and draft technical documents in English and converse and correspond in English.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of the Salesforce platform are advantageous

·       The ideal candidate will be proactive, ambitious, detail-oriented, a natural team player; he/she has an international outlook and comfortable working with an international and diverse team. Preferably this should be demonstrated by working experience in a corporate setting in another country, or attending an exchange programme in another country.

·       Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
