Job Scope

The Operations Head is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Wealth (Private Banking) Operations, Treasury Operations, Trade Finance Operations, Loan Operations of the Singapore branch, ensuring efficient operations in compliance with the bank’s service standards and internal control.

Job Description

Operations Management

• Oversee the daily operations of Wealth (Private Banking) Operations, Treasury Operations, Trade Finance Operations, Loan Operations
• Approves and verifies transactions in accordance with policies and authority limits.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Monetary Authority of Singapore, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) and internal policies.
• Monitor operational risks and implement mitigation strategies

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve workflows
• Attend regular operations meetings and coordinate administrative matters

People Management

• Ensure staff alignment with operational goals, manage manpower and resourcing, and oversee career planning and development
• Implement and monitor the Operations target operating model

Governance and Compliance

• Review and discuss internal audit findings, comments and recommendations
• Ensure audit rectifications are implemented and responses to internal/ external audits are submitted promptly

Technology & Systems Oversight

• Oversee IT infrastructure and systems related to Operations
• Works closely with the IT team to enhance operational tools and platforms
• Participate in UAT and discussion on IT-related business initiatives

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Management or a related field
• Minimum of 7-15 years of experience in branch banking with a strong background in operational management
• Demonstrates excellent communication, leadership, relationship- building skills, with high integrity, adaptability , and the ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.

• Banking Operations Expertise: Deep knowledge of branch operations, products, services and regulatory requirements
• Governance and Risk Management: Strong understanding of governance, risk , and internal controls
• Business & Market Awareness: Familiarity with industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in business applications, computer tools and process/ project management
• Ethics & Compliance: Commitment to business ethics, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
