Operations Manager, Singapore

About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to serve as the local people manager for our Operations team within Euroclear Bank Singapore Branch (EB SG).

The Singapore Operations team is a cross-functional team comprising professionals across New Issues, Settlement & Cash Processing, Financial Crime Control, and Collateral Management. Together with our Hong Kong Operations team, Euroclear Bank continues to strengthen its regional capabilities to better serve APAC clients and markets.

This role requires close collaboration with Operations Management in Euroclear Bank Hong Kong (EB HK) and strong partnership with Human Resources. Reporting directly to the APAC COO, you will play a key role in supporting the achievement of the Singapore branch's strategic and operational objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced people leader to work within a highly collaborative regional environment, partnering with stakeholders across Singapore, Hong Kong and the wider Euroclear network while contributing to the continued growth of our APAC Operations capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships and maintain effective day-to-day collaboration with Team Leaders and Regional Service Directors across Euroclear Bank Hong Kong (EB HK).
• Lead, motivate and engage a team of approximately 10 employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance.
• Support employee development through regular coaching, training and development planning.
• Manage performance through ongoing feedback, goal setting, quarterly check-ins and year-end appraisal processes, in partnership with EB HK Team Leaders.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the services delivered by the local Operations teams.
• Coordinate local business escalations and collaborate closely with stakeholders across Euroclear locations to ensure timely resolution.
• Partner with EB HK Team Leaders to manage capacity planning and ensure sustainable resource allocation and operational resilience.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to employee engagement activities that strengthen team culture and collaboration.
• Ensure effective business continuity and contingency arrangements are maintained between EB SG and EB HK.
• Anticipate workforce needs and lead recruitment activities, including candidate selection, interviews and onboarding support.
• Act as a local champion for organisational priorities, fostering effective communication and alignment across teams and functions.

• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrix organisation, driving alignment, managing dependencies and delivering outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong judgement and risk awareness, with the ability to identify gaps and ensure adherence to governance, risk and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to assess and solve complex or ambiguous problems through structured thinking and effective stakeholder management.

• Fluency in English is required.
