PERM Assistant Manager, Internal Audit (Up 7.5k, Frequent Travel) #HFT

Key Responsibilities

Internal Audit

• Develop and maintain internal audit policies and procedures.
• Prepare and execute risk-based internal audit plans.
• Coordinate audit activities with group companies across Southeast Asia, the Pacific, Australia and India.
• Conduct audit planning, interviews and fieldwork.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, governance and operational processes.
• Identify control gaps and recommend practical improvements.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
• Monitor and follow up on implementation of agreed corrective actions.
• Support the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) and reporting to headquarters.

Compliance

• Support the implementation of regional compliance programmes covering areas including: Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Competition Law / Anti-Trust Export Controls and Strategic Trade Management
• Assist in developing and updating compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments.
• Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes.
• Coordinate regional compliance seminars.
• Monitor completion of mandatory compliance learning.
• Participate in investigations and reviews relating to compliance matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate relevant updates to regional entities.
• Support internal control assessments, including QAIP, J-SOX and Export Control self-assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Internal Audit or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.
• Relevant experience in internal audit, risk management or compliance within a multinational organisation.
• Experience in the manufacturing, engineering, industrial or assembly sector will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of internal control frameworks, corporate governance and risk-based auditing.

Travel Requirements

This position involves frequent overseas business travel to support regional audit and compliance activities. Travel may occur almost monthly or every alternate month, with individual trips lasting up to three weeks. Destinations may include countries across the Asia Pacific region, India and the Middle East.
