[PERM] Tax Accountant (Manufacturing industry)

Responsibilities:

• Manage corporate tax, GST, and withholding tax compliance, filings, and reporting.
• Support tax provisioning, statutory audits, ETR calculations, and OECD Pillar Two compliance.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax policies.
• Provide tax advice on business transactions, contracts, and operational matters.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks while supporting audits and tax authority queries.
• Monitor tax regulatory changes and evaluate their business impact.
• Improve tax processes, controls, documentation, and reporting systems (e.g., SAP).
• Support customs and trade compliance, including import/export regulations and sanctions screening.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on tax-related matters and business initiatives.
• Participate in ad hoc tax projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• 8+years’ tax experience, preferably in a manufacturing MNC or Big 4/professional firm.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia tax (CIT, GST, WHT, transfer pricing).
• Exposure to international and Southeast Asia tax regimes is an advantage.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently under deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures.
• Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• High integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
• Interest in process improvement, optimization, and automation.
