Principal, Strategic Investments

We are partnering with a strategic investment platform to hire an experienced investment professional to join its investment team in Singapore.

This role will be responsible for originating, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across high-growth sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders on investment strategy, transaction execution, portfolio management, and ecosystem development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop investment theses and identify investment opportunities across selected sectors
• Source and evaluate potential investments through market research, industry analysis, and stakeholder engagement
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, industry partners, and ecosystem stakeholders
• Lead end-to-end transaction execution, including commercial assessment, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations
• Prepare investment recommendations and present opportunities to investment committees and senior management
• Monitor portfolio performance and support value creation initiatives for portfolio companies
• Assess strategic opportunities, corporate actions, and growth initiatives across the investment portfolio
• Support broader investment strategy and organisational initiatives where required

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, corporate venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or strategic investments
• Proven track record of leading transactions from origination through execution
• Strong financial modelling, valuation, commercial due diligence, and investment analysis skills
• Experience evaluating high-growth businesses and emerging industries is advantageous
• MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications will be viewed favourably
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
