  • Support complex transformation delivery: Support large-scale global/regional programme (technology, regulatory, restructuring and/or operating model change) with strong cost delivery discipline, providing direction, guidance and support as appropriate to maintain quality and pace and within budgets.
  • Operating model & business architecture: Drive cross-functional workshops to translate business drivers into future-state operating models aligned to architecture and technology strategy.  Ensure all IT budgets are reflected in FRP.
  • Drive cross-workstream execution: Hold workstream leads accountable; remove blockers; resolve conflicts across Business, Technology and Operations.
  • Budget, resource and vendor accountability: Own cost of change, headcount planning and vendor performance against commercial, risk and delivery expectations.
  • Senior stakeholder influence: Ensure that senior leaders are updated regularly, supporting outcomes, including escalations as appropriate.
  • Change adoption and embedding: Sponsor adoption, operational readiness and benefits tracking to ensure sustainable implementation.
  • Risk, control and compliance leadership: Ensure robust risk/control management aligned to HSBC taxonomy and governance expectations.
  • Agile delivery leadership: Champion Agile and iterative delivery at scale with appropriate enterprise governance, cadence and transparency.
  • Onshore/offshore leadership: Drive operational effectiveness across mixed-location teams; travel as required for key workshops and milestones.

To be successful you will need:

  • Experience working in Finance or on large-scale cost programmes, complex transformation programmes end-to-end (global/regional).
  • Attention to detail with strong track record delivering regulatory and/or technology change, with clear understanding of operating model impacts.
  • Proven ability of working with cross-functional, multi-location teams with accountability for delivery, budget, risk and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated customer engagement mindset, with the ability to understand client needs, shape outcomes and communicate value clearly.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and influencing skills, including engagement with senior executives and steering committees.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and change control discipline (scope/schedule/budget) skills, including formal governance.
  • Broad, enterprise-wide view of the organisation and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, capabilities, enabling technologies and governance.
  • Strong risk and control capability, including identification, ownership, management and reporting aligned to HSBC taxonomy.

  • Familiarity with HSBC’s ways of working, values and governance frameworks is beneficial; knowledge of DAP, Value Stream leadership and FSA, expert-level Agile/iterative delivery experience, applied within enterprise governance, are advantageous.
