Quality Assurance Tester

Within our GPS (Global Products & Solutions) Technology division, the Quality Assurance (QA) team delivers Testing as a Service across multiple squads in the GPS Agile Release Train (ART). The team plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability and compliance of applications, while supporting the seamless transition of new features and systems into production.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Tester to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional squads, contribute to test strategy and execution, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices within an Agile environment.

KEY FEATURES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Quality Assurance & Test Management

• Review and analyze user stories to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability
• Contribute to backlog refinement from a testing and quality perspective
• Collaborate with squads to define test strategies, test plans, and coverage
• Execute test cases and document results in line with audit and compliance requirements
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear and structured documentation
• Provide timely feedback to squads as part of continuous delivery

Collaboration & Delivery Support

• Work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve defects
• Ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (PI planning, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Support squads in validating functional and workflow behavior across interconnected systems

Test Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Support the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks and scripts
• Collaborate with fellow testers to improve testing tools, methodologies, and services
• Promote best practices in QA and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Production Support & Release Management

• Support deployment activities and transition of changes into production
• Perform post-release validation and production testing
• Assist in knowledge transfer and training of support teams
• Provide troubleshooting support for issues identified post-deployment

Regulatory responsibilities & risk management

• Demonstrate adherence to organizational values, including integrity, due diligence, and accountability
• Ensure all testing activities meet audit, compliance, and regulatory standards
• Contribute to risk mitigation by identifying defects early and ensuring robust validation processes
• Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including, but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Professional and Technical

• Proven experience ideally with 10 or more years as a Quality Assurance Tester, preferably in the financial services industry
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and QA practices
• Experience testing both in-house developed and vendor-based applications
• Solid understanding of functional workflows across interconnected systems
• Domain knowledge in securities lending, repo, and back-office processes, including: Settlement workflows (DVP, FOP), Corporate actions and their impact on positions, Trading and collateral management processes
• Experience with Temenos T24
• Proficiency in Jira and testing tools
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Tosca, X-Ray) is an advantage
• Knowledge of financial messaging standards (SWIFT MT5xx, ISO 20022) is a plus
