Regulatory Compliance Officer - Regional Bank

A regional bank in Singapore is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its team. This role focuses on regulatory advisory, policy governance, compliance reviews, and ensuring adherence to MAS regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and Head Office to support the bank's regulatory compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory advisory on MAS regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Perform gap analysis on new or revised MAS regulations and assess business impact.
• Maintain, review, and update Compliance policies and procedures.
• Review marketing materials from a regulatory compliance perspective.
• Review policies and procedures submitted by business units and Head Office.
• Design and conduct compliance reviews and monitoring activities.
• Provide regulatory advisory on Representative Notification Framework (RNF) matters.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports for management and Head Office.
• Monitor regulatory developments and disseminate MAS updates to management, relevant teams, and Head Office.
• Participate in regulatory and business projects involving the Compliance team.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Team Head.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of regulatory compliance experience within a banking environment.
• Good knowledge of MAS regulations and Singapore banking regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Financial Advisers Act (FAA), and Banking Act.
• Experience in regulatory advisory, compliance monitoring, policy governance, or compliance reviews.
• Private Banking compliance experience will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
