Job Description - Relationship Manager, Financial Institutions / Corporate Banking

About the Role

Our banking client is looking for an experienced Relationship Manager to join its Financial Institutions / Corporate Banking team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow relationships with a diverse portfolio of financial institutions and corporate clients across Singapore and the regional market.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal product partners to deliver financing, treasury, transaction banking, and capital markets solutions while driving new business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand a portfolio of Financial Institution (FI) and corporate clients across Singapore and the regional market
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with banks, asset managers, securities firms, family offices, corporates, and other institutional clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular engagement and strategic advisory
  • Prepare credit applications, financial analysis, risk assessments, and annual account reviews
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure and deliver financing, cash management, trade finance, treasury, and capital markets solutions
  • Support syndicated loans, bilateral lending, and cross-border transactions where applicable
  • Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support operational, system enhancement, and process improvement initiatives
  • Handle client enquiries and provide ongoing account servicing support
  • Prepare internal reports and support regulatory reporting requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant relationship management, FI coverage, corporate banking, treasury sales, or credit analysis experience
  • Strong understanding of financial institutions, capital markets products, lending structures, and cross-border banking solutions
  • Proven business development and client management capabilities
  • Experience covering institutional clients such as banks, asset managers, securities firms, hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, or large corporates will be advantageous
  • Good knowledge of credit evaluation, risk assessment, and loan structuring
  • Familiarity with transaction banking, treasury products, trade finance, and capital markets solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and regional stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin proficiency will be advantageous to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and regional clients
