Risk Management Specialist - Oil & Gas Markets

Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily P&L reports and aggregate all trade book reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Assist traders or other departments regarding P&L affecting topics.
• Inquire with traders about unclear booking changes or business practices, and communicate the effects of deal changes or bookings to various departments.
• Validate physical LNG and derivative deal entries to ensure accurate valuation in the system.
• Understand the funding requirements for futures and forwards and their impact on relationships with clearing brokers and clearing banks.
• Calculate the effects of interest rates (IR) and foreign exchange (FX) on P&L, collaborating with the Treasury team to ensure impacts are anticipated and hedges are appropriately executed when necessary.
• Assist Finance in the month-end financial closing processes by explaining any business provision requirements.
• Suggest and implement innovative, more accurate, and efficient processes and calculation methods.
• Manage contracts and confirmation for financial trades.

Requirements:

• At least 3 to 5 years of market risk experience within an energy or commodity trading environment
• Familiar with either Power BI, Tableau, Altery, Python, Data Analytics or Data Visualization
• P&L experience
