Senior Accountant (Full Set Accounting, GST & Xero) Up to $5,500 5 Days

About the Company

Our client is a growing retail group in Singapore currently establishing its finance infrastructure to support future business expansion. They are seeking an experienced and hands-on Full Set Accountant to oversee accounting operations, GST compliance, and financial processes across multiple entities.

Bishan / Marymount Area

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Full Set Accounting

• Handle full sets of accounts for multiple entities.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Monitor cash flow and payment schedules.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and external stakeholders.

GST Registration & Compliance

• Manage GST registration processes, including compulsory and voluntary registration.
• Prepare and submit GST registration applications to IRAS.
• Handle quarterly GST returns (F5/F7) and GST reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore GST regulations.
• Support tax audits and liaise with tax consultants when required.

Xero Accounting System

• Perform daily accounting activities using Xero Accounting Software.
• Maintain Chart of Accounts, supplier and customer records.
• Generate financial and management reports through Xero.
• Support accounting process improvements and system optimization initiatives.

Finance Process Development

• Assist in establishing accounting structures, internal controls, and finance processes.
• Support the organization during its growth and expansion phase.
• Participate in finance-related projects and process enhancement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant full set accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in GST registration and GST filing within Singapore.
• Experience using Xero Accounting Software is highly preferred.
• Experience in retail, trading, or multi-entity environments will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Singapore accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Meticulous, responsible, and highly organized.
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, management, and business counterparts across different markets to support business operations.
