Senior Accounting Officer

Job Description

• Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Handle tax filings, GST/VAT submissions, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Review accounting transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Support financial analysis and provide recommendations to management.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff where applicable.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
