Senior Application Support Engineer (Payments)

Summary:

Provide functional and technical support for a payment processing platform, including Level 2/3 incident management, payment flow analysis, and platform monitoring. Act as a technical expert for payment systems, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with SLAs, and collaboration with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvements.

Requirements:

• Functional and technical support for payment platforms, including incident resolution and compliance with SLAs.
• Analysis and troubleshooting of SWIFT messaging (MT103, MT202, MT940, MT950) and ISO 20022 standards.
• Docker container lifecycle management (start, stop, restart, deployments) via Ansible Tower.
• Unix/Linux administration, troubleshooting, and scripting (Bash, Korn Shell).
• Administration and troubleshooting of IBM MQ, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
• Development and maintenance of automation scripts and Splunk monitoring alerts.
• Participation in change and release management, including deployments, rollback plans, and post-deployment validation.
• Collaboration with stakeholders to investigate payment failures, rejections, duplicates, and reconciliation issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking application support, with a focus on payment platforms.
• Hands-on experience in international payment processing and SWIFT messaging standards.
• Strong expertise in Docker, Unix/Linux, IBM MQ, and database management (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with batch processing and file transfers.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, remain effective under pressure, and thrive in a multicultural, mission-critical environment.
