$4,000 - 5,500 monthly
Reporting to the Finance Director in Singapore, you will be the hands-on execution backbone of the group finance function. Your core focus is accurate, timely bookkeeping and finance operations across the group: day-to-day accounting for the Singapore entities, data entry and bookkeeping support for the Hong Kong licensed entities, and day-to-day coordination with the outsourced accounting firm that maintains the books of the mainland China entity.
The group is preparing to migrate to a new finance system, and you will play a key supporting role in the implementation — preparing and cleansing data, setting up master records, and testing workflows. This role suits a meticulous, reliable finance professional from the fintech, payments or financial services industry who takes pride in clean books and wants exposure to a multi-entity, cross-border finance environment with room to grow.
• Handle full-cycle bookkeeping for the Singapore entities: AP/AR processing, general ledger entries, bank and payment-channel reconciliations, staff expense claims and fixed asset records.
• Support the monthly close: prepare journal entries, schedules and reconciliations to the timetable set by the Finance Director.
• Assist with GST returns, ACRA filings and annual audit deliverables, including preparing supporting documents for auditors and tax agents.
• Perform data entry and bookkeeping for the Hong Kong licensed entities in accordance with group policies, working closely with the Finance Director and the Hong Kong team.
• Maintain organised, audit-ready supporting documentation (invoices, statements, contracts, settlement records) for the HK entities.
• Assist with information requests for HK statutory audits, tax filings and licence-related reporting as directed.
• Support the upcoming finance system migration: extract and cleanse historical data, prepare opening balances, set up vendor / customer/ chart of accounts master data, and participate in user testing.
• Help document standard operating procedures and workflows on the new system after go-live.
• Act as the day-to-day contact for the outsourced accounting firm in mainland China: collect and transmit source documents, track the monthly closing schedule and follow up on outstanding items.
• Perform first-line checks on the reports and schedules returned by the outsourced firm, and flag discrepancies to the Finance Director for review.
• Support payment processing workflows, vendor on boarding records and the maintenance of finance trackers and filing systems.
• Provide ad-hoc support on group reporting, due diligence document requests and other finance projects as assigned.
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (ACCA / CA pursuers welcome).
• 3–6 years of hands-on bookkeeping / accounting experience, including full-set or near-full-set accounts.
• Prior working experience in fintech, payments, or the broader financial services industry (e.g. payment institutions, e-money, remittance, fund services, banks or licensed financial firms).
• Proficiency with at least one accounting system (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Odoo) and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent business English and Mandarin — Mandarin is essential for daily coordination with the mainland China outsourced accountants.
• Meticulous, well-organised and dependable, with a track record of meeting monthly close deadlines.
• Experience performing bookkeeping for Hong Kong entities, or supporting HK audit and tax filing cycles.
• Experience participating in an accounting system migration or implementation project.
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency environments with an overseas parent or regional HQ.
• Familiarity with reconciling payment-channel or settlement-partner statements.
• Basic familiarity with mainland China accounting documents (fapiao, monthly tax filings) — review is supported by the outsourced firm and the Finance Director.
• Cross-border exposure across Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China entities — breadth rarely available at this level in the Singapore market.
• Direct mentorship from the Group Finance Director and a clear growth path toward Senior Accountant / Finance Manager as the team builds out.
• Hands-on involvement in a group-wide finance system implementation — a concrete, transferable career milestone.
• A front-row seat in one of the fastest-moving areas of global payments, backed by top-tier investors.
• Medical insurance, CPF contributions and paid annual leave in line with Singapore market practice.
