RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for financial and management reporting for the Technology BU, prepare, analyse and present the monthly reports, in a timely and reliable manner, that accurately reflects the financial performance. Analyse and explain variance vs prior month and budget/forecast, highlighting and proposing necessary actions as needed.
  • Internal control and Compliance: Ensure project costs are reported in accordance with company policies and IFRS/GAAP guidelines for project accounting, liaise with external and internal auditors. Monitor, analyze, and report project costs in a timely manner and compliance with DOA requirement. Coordinate between supporting functions and project owners for all Technology projects.
  • Performance Management: Prepare and analyze monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Technology team. Monitor and analyses Project KPI achievement, calculate the financial benefits by project, prepare the financial reports, and advise management on financial matters.
  • Manage and monitor Technology costs, aligning with Technology project development processes, and ensure compliance with company policies (eg. Intangible Asset policy). Keep management informed about the major events, support respective Technology HODs in the improving financial performance.
  • Preparation of annual budget and rolling forecast, collaborate with Technology HODs for updating cost by cost element, project, and cost center.
  • Assist in Business case calculation (cost-benefit calculation) and make recommendations for minimizing the risk in strategic and capital allocation decisions for technology projects.
  • Responsible for product cost simulation during R&D phase, monitoring of actual product cost and bridge the GAP of product cost between simulated cost and actual cost.
  • Grant engagements: Follow-ups and support communication platforms with in-house R&D and other government agencies on all grants' matters. Partnership with Corporate Finance ensuring proper follow-ups on actual spending, forecast and utilization monitoring.
  • Strong technical proficiency in the areas of data analysis and visualization. Advanced skills in leveraging analytical tools and platforms to perform in-depth analysis and create visually compelling dashboards and charts. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar software is highly desirable.
  • Support and perform any ad-hoc projects/tasks as assigned by Technology HODs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Accounting/ ACCA or equivalent with 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Preferably with 8 years minimum of finance experience in a manufacturing environment including project accounting experience.
  • Knowledge in Semi-conductor / Solar fields.
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet and numeracy skills combined with an inquiring & analytical mind. SAP knowledge would be better.
  • Excellent project analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and high confidence in stating professional opinions.
  • Positive work attitude, Self-Starter, Hand-on and able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate complex processes.
