Senior Manager / Manager, Finance

Job Description:

You will play a key role in supporting the financial management of the organisation across a broad range of finance-related functions, including financial and management accounting, costing, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, corporate governance and internal controls.

The role involves working closely with business units, cross-functional teams and management to provide timely financial information, analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. You will also support process improvement, system enhancement and governance initiatives within the Finance function.

This position is suitable for experienced finance professionals who possess strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical capabilities, stakeholder management skills and, where applicable, team leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and/or support financial and management accounting activities, including monthly closing, reporting and analysis.
• Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, audit schedules and other financial submissions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and provide meaningful insights to management.
• Perform costing, profitability analysis and other finance-related reviews to support business decisions.
• Partner business units and departments by providing financial advice, analysis and support.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, corporate policies and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, reporting efficiency and system usage.
• Participate in system enhancement, automation and process improvement initiatives where required.
• Prepare financial reports, analyses and presentations for management and relevant stakeholders.
• Guide and develop team members, where applicable, and foster a collaborative and continuous improvement mindset.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualification recognised by ISCA.
• Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, depending on seniority of appointment.
• Supervisory experience will be required for Manager and above roles.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 audit firm and/or healthcare industry will be an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and provide business insights.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP and financial modelling will be an advantage.
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to engage stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.
• Meticulous, independent and able to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong team player with the ability to guide, motivate and develop others in a dynamic environment.
