Job Description - Senior Vice President (SVP)

This is the most senior of sales management roles prior to stepping up to the executive leadership path..

Job Summary

As a SVP – Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing and managing a successful team. You will directly build and manage a team, and coach and mentor others across our business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning and Strategy

  • Successfully plans for the medium term, linking team goals to wider brand/office vision
  • Prioritizes with clear objective setting for self and team
  • Incorporates Phaidon strategy into immediate and medium-term planning
  • Develops and maintains succession planning focussed on proactive development of team in the medium term

Client Management

  • Grows business from existing and new clients, including securing position of preferred supplier lists (PSLs), agrees sole supplier terms of business and effectively cross sells all areas of the Phaidon International
  • Effectively coaches team on identifying the ideal client criteria, successfully measuring, and targeting clients on this basis
  • Drives cross division clients maximizing on group opportunities and actively generates referral business for other teams
  • Exploits networking opportunities as appropriate
  • Proactively updates clients on relevant products/services available from Phaidon as appropriate
  • Proactively tracks market changes and identifies impact on clients

Vacancy Management

  • Independently and effectively manages the entire recruitment cycle from vacancy to placement
  • Manages own recruitment process with a defined selection process agreed with client, and exceeds clients’ service level agreement (SLA)
  • Gives relevant, constructive feedback to clients and candidates and coaches other consultants on how to do this
  • Skillfully negotiates offers on a mutually beneficial basis for client and candidates; and manages team and personal process closing and new starter processes
  • Actively involved in ensuring invoices are paid for both team and individual placements
  • Advises client using market knowledge and uses client need to offer, manage and negotiate alternative solutions e.g. retained or headhunt searches
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with clients ensuring an efficient service is provided that exceeds their resourcing requirements

Candidate Management

  • Initiates creative solutions to generate candidates, including identifying ‘passive’ candidates and utilizing candidate pipelines
  • Work cross team or division in sourcing and promoting candidates within the business
  • Develop candidate networks that generate vacancies
  • Confidently provide detailed and up to date knowledge of clients when speaking candidates
  • Utilizes post placement care to improve strategic partnerships
  • Works cross team (perm/contract/global) to build relationships and cross sell candidates
  • Consistently gains candidate exclusivity, referrals and business develops candidates, generating vacancies

Required Attributes & Experience

Skills/Experience

  • Min Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the recruitment industry
  • Record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Fully versed in all aspects of the recruitment cycle
  • Evidence of ability to build significant business from scratch
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite
  • Good knowledge of recruitment related employment law
  • Experience working in a pressurized environment
  • Experience managing or supervising others, including objective setting
