Overview of Role

An opportunity for an experiencedprocurement professional to support the Bank's technology sourcing and vendormanagement activities.

The role will partner closely with GTOstakeholders to deliver strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate complextechnology contracts, and manage key supplier relationships.

Responsibilities and Activities

Strategic Leadership & StakeholderManagement

•  Actas the strategic procurement partner to senior GTO stakeholders, supportingmajor technology initiatives and transformation programmes.

•  Proactivelyengage delivery teams and business stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies,determine appropriate sourcing routes, and drive optimal commercial outcomes.

•  Confidentlylead and influence discussions with senior management, providing clear,structured responses under fast-paced, high pressure conditions.

•  Navigatepressure both upward and downward – managing senior stakeholder expectationswhile supporting team morale and effectiveness.

 Technology Sourcing & Contract Negotiation

•  Leadthe review, structuring, and negotiation of high volume of complex technologycontracts annually, including MSAs, NDAs, and large-scale outsourcingagreements.

•  Overseeend-to-end sourcing lifecycle activities including RFPs, commercial andregulatory negotiations, supplier due diligence, and contract finalisation.

•  Drivevalue-based negotiations to secure best fit solutions aligned to business,technology, risk, and regulatory requirements.

 •  Develop and strengthen long term strategicsupplier partnerships and alliances that enable and support UOB’s technologyroadmap.

•  Establishrobust supplier relationship management frameworks for assigned strategicsuppliers, ensuring performance, risk management, and value realisation.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

•  Provideclear guidance to stakeholders on procurement governance, UOB policies,standards, and regulatory requirements.

•  Ensuresourcing and contracting activities comply with internal policies, MASguidelines, and outsourcing risk management standards.

•  Applydeep subject matter expertise to assess deals rapidly and challenge assumptionsthrough strong questioning from both commercial and governance perspectives.

 •  Manage workload and volume effectively,balancing speed of delivery with quality and risk management.

Performance Management & ContinuousImprovement

•  Track,validate, and report sourcing savings and value outcomes across categories inscope.

•  Identifyand drive continuous improvement opportunities across the end to end StrategicSourcing & Procurement function.

•  Buildand maintain structured stakeholder engagement models, including stakeholdermatrices and regular touchpoints.

Skills/Qualifications

•Experiencein procurement, strategic sourcing or vendor management within banking,financial services, technology or other regulated industries. Proven experience negotiating complex technology contracts and commercialagreements.

•Strongunderstanding of technology procurement across software, infrastructure, cloud,outsourcing and professional services.

•Abilityto engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technologyfunctions.

•Strongcommercial acumen, negotiation skills and analytical capability.

•Comfortableoperating in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and demandingstakeholders.

•Self-driven,resilient and able to navigate complexity and ambiguity effectively.
