Tax Advisory Manager/Senior Manager

Our tax team is looking to hire in Singapore :

1. Manager / Senior Manager – Direct Tax

In this role, you will:

1. Lead in fulfilment of clients’

• Income tax advisory needs in relation to their business transactions (e.g., new business arrangements, cross border transactions)
• Income tax advisory needs on tax structuring matters and conducting income tax due diligence reviews (typically in Merger & Acquisition situations)
• Needs in managing IRAS queries/audits
• Needs in seeking advance income tax rulings/clarifications from IRAS
• Needs with tax risk management and control framework for corporate income tax (“CTRM”) review and application process
• Needs with stamp duty relief applications

2. Develop strong relationships with our clients and with our colleagues, both internally and across the Baker Tilly International Network.

3. Work with colleagues internally and across the globe in relation to proposals and delivering on tax projects.

4. Oversee the entire engagement which includes but not limited to work plan scheduling and budgeting, staff management etc

5. Train, coach and supervise staff including sharing experience and knowledge

6. Provide support in relation to marketing activities such as seminars, webcasts and business development collaterals.

We are looking for people with the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field
• At least 5 years of Singapore income tax experience preferably with an accounting or tax firm
• Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) (Income Tax) or higher, with Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals (SCTP), will be an added advantage
• Strong written/verbal communication and collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to details
• Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
