Tax Assistant

Job Description

The Tax Assistant supports the tax team in handling basic tax compliance work for clients. This includes assisting in the preparation of tax computations, filing of Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI), and ensuring timely submission to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. The role focuses on execution and administrative support under supervision.

Key Responsibilities / Job Scope

1. Tax Compliance Support

• Assist in the preparation of basic corporate tax computations
• Assist in filing Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI)
• Support preparation of Form C-S / Form C-S Lite submissions
• Ensure documents are completed and submitted on time

2. Data Preparation & Processing

• Extract and compile financial data from accounting records
• Organise schedules for revenue, expenses, and supporting documents
• Perform basic checks to ensure completeness and accuracy

3. Administrative Support

• Maintain proper filing of tax documents and working papers
• Track deadlines and assist in monitoring submission timelines
• Prepare standard templates and reports

4. Client Coordination

• Liaise with clients to request basic information and documents
• Follow up on outstanding items (e.g. financial statements, invoices)

5. Support to Senior Staff

• Assist seniors in handling IRAS queries and simple tax matters
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

• Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Willingness to learn Singapore tax rules and compliance processes
• Good attention to detail and organisation skills
