Tax Manager (Big4/Deg/M&A/Risk/Civil Constructions)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency for the organization. Provide strategic tax advice to support business decisions and initiatives in the civil construction industry.
• Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Manage tax reporting requirements for construction projects and contracts.
• Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities, including responding to inquiries, providing documentation and support, and resolving tax issues in a timely and efficient manner. Liaise with external advisors and legal counsel as necessary.
• Provide tax support and analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions in the civil construction industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure transactions in a tax-efficient manner and conduct tax due diligence as needed.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to the civil construction industry. Conduct tax research and analysis to assess the impact of new legislation or regulations on the organization's tax position and provide recommendations accordingly.
• Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation for intercompany transactions within the construction company and its affiliated entities. Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and guidelines.
• Assess and mitigate tax risks associated with civil construction projects and operations. Develop and implement controls and procedures to minimize tax-related risks and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations teams, to align tax strategies with business objectives and facilitate effective tax planning and compliance. Build and maintain relationships with external advisors, including auditors, tax consultants, and legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma / Degree in Accountancy / Finance / CPA or equivalent.
• At least 6 – 7 years of relevant experience in MNC environment / Big 4 accounting firm.
• Must have experience in M&A Tax.
• Experience with tax planning and compliance, contracts, and transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex tax issues and develop practical solutions.
