TRADE FINANCE EXECUTIVE

Job Summary

The Trade Finance Officer supports and processesinternational trade transactions such as Letters of Credit (LC), BankGuarantees (BG), and import/export documentation. The role ensures transactionsare completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with banking and traderegulations.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate LC drafts prior issuance with the supplier and buyer and ensuring seamless transactions.
• Preparation of Shipping instructions to be sent to suppliers ensuring documents is in compliance with custom declaration at the discharge port.
• Process trade finance transactions including LC issuance, amendments, and settlements.
• Handle full set of shipping and trade documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Preparation of shipping and trading documents as per LC clause and ensure clean negotiation.
• Handle Bank Guarantees and trade financing documents if required.
• Liaise with clients, supplier, buyer, banks, and internal teams.
• Liaise with Bank on the existing and potential credit lines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and trade regulations.
• Maintain proper records and prepare reports when required.
• Assist in resolving transaction issues and discrepancies.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Business, Banking, or related field.
• Min 3 years of experience in trade finance or banking operations preferred.
• In depth knowledge of trade finance products and basic knowledge of shipping documents.
• Good attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of LC documentation and international trade practices.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of  UCP600 is required.
